More About Lights - Headlight
A headlamp is a lamp attached to the front of a vehicle to light the road ahead. Headlamps are also often called headlights, but in the most precise usage, headlamp is the term for the device itself and headlight is the term for the beam of light produced and distributed by the device.
The headlight is designed to emit two kinds of beams: a low beam and a high beam. The low beam gives you ample road illumination while minimizing the chances of oncoming vehicles getting glare from your vehicle's headlights.
If youโre starting to notice the front lenses on your vehicle getting cloudy and white or taking on moisture, it's probably time to replace them. All new lamps come with a UV protective coating from the factory which eventually wears off over time. This is especially common in the Southern states due to constant sun exposure. Other elements include road debris, weather and pollution.
