The multifunction switch controls many features on your car. The Chevrolet Impala / Monte Carlo are both notorious for this replacement part. Whether it's your headlamps that shut off while you're driving down the road, your brake lamps are faulty or your windshield wipers are stuck on high, the turn signal lever is a good place to start in getting your vehicle back to operating properly and safely.
There were 2 different types put on model years 2000-2005.
On the end of the lever, there will either be an on/off slide switch (Part # 1983-0336) which is the most common, or it will be completely blank (Part # 1983-0314).
